Frequently asked questions
- Do I need an account to use Spoon Manager?
- No. Spoon Manager works entirely offline with no sign-up or login. Just open the app and start.
- Where is my data stored?
- Everything stays on your device using Apple's on-device storage. Spoon Manager has no server and collects no data. The one time it goes online is if you connect Google Calendar, which is optional and read-only — those events are fetched from Google straight to your device. See our Privacy Policy.
- Why does the app ask for microphone, camera, calendar, Health, or notification access?
- Each one is optional and only used for the matching feature: voice capture of tasks (microphone/speech), the optional pulse check-in (camera — frames are analyzed on your device and never recorded), showing your existing events alongside your day (read-only calendar), suggesting a starting energy level from last night's sleep, exercise, and resting heart rate (read-only Apple Health — Spoon Manager never writes to Health), and the reminders you opt into (notifications). You can turn any of them off in iOS Settings.
- Is Spoon Manager medical advice?
- No. Spoon Manager is a self-tracking and pacing tool to help you notice your own patterns — it doesn't diagnose or treat anything, and it isn't a substitute for care from a qualified professional. The doctor report simply helps you share what you've tracked with your own clinician.
- How do I back up my data?
- Your Spoon Manager data is included in your normal encrypted device backups (iCloud or Finder/iTunes) when those are enabled.
- I found a bug or have a feature request.
- Please email us at contact@spoonmanager.com — feedback is very welcome.
